Facilitating Positive Change
The purpose of the Chiron Community Giving Foundation (CCGF) is to fund promising projects of nonprofit organizations with a strong track record of facilitating positive change for individuals living in economically challenging circumstances in St. Louis City and St. Louis County. CCGF began as a component fund of the St. Louis Community Foundation in 2019, with the first grants being awarded in 2020. In 2021, CCGF became incorporated as a nonprofit private foundation in Missouri and received federal 501(c)(3) status.
The Foundation operates on the belief that when the most vulnerable individuals in a community are respected and supported in their growth and development, those individuals’ lives will stabilize. In turn, communities will be strengthened, offering a better quality of life for all in the present and the future. Chiron Community Giving Foundation is particularly interested in supporting those organizations that demonstrate strong organizational commitment to principles of non-discrimination, anti-racism, equity, and effective inclusion.
The family that provides funding for Chiron Community Giving Foundation has a long history of contributing time, talent, and treasure to social justice and equity initiatives. They are proud to be a part of supporting exemplary projects that serve individuals who reside in some of the most impoverished locations in the St. Louis region.
